Claudia Cedó, director of “Escenarios Especiales”, premieres “Fantàstic Ramon”, a comedy addressing exclusion, dependence and family coexistence with a son with a disability. The play, produced under the “Ànima Lliure” project in collaboration with Fundación Banc Sabadell, questions how society manages difference through a story full of humour, tenderness and harshness.
In Santa Aurora de la Piedad, an apparently ordinary village, Clara and Josep face the birth of Ramón, a different child. The show addresses the internal monsters of a closed community, unconditional love and prejudices against what escapes normality. With a touch of fantasy, the play invites audiences to reflect on the ability to love what we do not understand.
This show reinforces Teatre Lliure and Escenarios Especiales’ commitment to normalising the participation of artists with functional diversity in the performing arts, seeking to make inclusion cease to be an exception.
