The story revolves around a married couple who find an injured bird in a wheat field and decide to adopt it, caring for it as if it were their own child. Over time, they build a summer house that becomes the setting for their family memories. However, life takes a tragic turn with the woman’s death and the man’s mysterious disappearance. Years later, their three children meet at the family home to discuss its future, a place that holds so many memories.
Amid this reunion is the brother’s teenage daughter, who has just been sent off from a football match after making a violent tackle. Her behaviour reflects the contradictions and conflicts faced by adults, revealing the complexity of family and social relationships. This show, entitled “Expulsió”, invites reflection on loss, family bonds and how decisions from the past continue to influence the present. Through the young woman’s eyes, social stereotypes and how the past influences family life are questioned, leaving the audience with a profound lesson about their own experiences.
