On stage, Franquesa turns that uncomfortable boundary — that moment when you still feel young but the signs of the world place you a couple of stops away from Imserso — into an inexhaustible source of humour. His battle is neither heroic nor dramatic: it is everyday, recognisable and deeply honest. A constant struggle between naive optimism and the pessimism that appears uninvited. He takes it on with a very particular shield: harmless fury, that anger which does no harm but speaks truths that many would rather keep quiet.
