«In the Wolf’s Mouth» is a journey to the heart of popular tradition through the art of puppetry. The show combines masks, puppets using different techniques, live music and stories that recover traditional songs, tales and rhymes, ingeniously reconstructed to speak of a heritage that remains alive in collective memory.
About this event
On stage, a puppeteer and a musician guide the audience along a festive route that progresses as if crossing a forest full of clearings and twists. At each stop, figures from the world of childhood emerge: the lurking wolf, the witch, the giant, the bandit, the goblin and even the cat. All of them reappear transformed, familiar and at the same time unsettling, reminding us that the villains of fairy tales also hold lessons.
The production establishes a direct and affectionate dialogue with the audience, which does not merely watch, but recognises itself in what it is shown. For what the show returns is a treasure of its own: fragments of popular culture, hidden in each spectator’s garden, which come to new life through puppets, music and complicity with the audience.
A fresh, entertaining and endearing proposal that recovers the essence of the old craft of puppetry and shares it as a collective gift.
