El dia que va morir David Bowie turns a waiting room into a place where time stops moving forward and forces one to look back. Adapted from the novel by Sebastià Portell, the play follows a young man who crosses Barcelona with the intensity of someone running too fast, perhaps to avoid standing still in front of himself.

Amid encounters, excesses and the silent pressure to become what others expect of him, the character ends up sitting in a clinic awaiting medical results. This apparently unremarkable space then turns into a strange personal purgatory: a place from which to revisit memories, decisions and wounds that had been buried beneath the noise.
The production, directed by Pau Coya, builds an emotional journey in which body and identity are examined at the same time. Beyond fear or uncertainty, the story speaks of the weight of expectations, the search for acceptance and the intimate battle involved in trying to recognise oneself without disguises.
With a duration of 60 minutes, El dia que va morir David Bowie portrays a generation that sometimes runs to find itself and other times to lose itself a little more. A story about what remains when the noise falls silent and there is nowhere left to look but within oneself.
