The show ‘El casalot’ offers a theatrical immersion into the territory of fear, paranoia and the impossible. Written and directed by Sergi Belbel, the play places the spectator inside an old, isolated house, an unsettling space where two women live trapped in a relationship marked by distrust, emotional violence and loss of identity.

Nothing is stable in that large house: names change, personalities dissolve and reality seems to warp in every scene. The protagonists fear each other, pursue each other, need each other and, at the same time, try to flee a place from which they never quite manage to escape. The house functions as another character, a closed organism in which anger, irrationality and anguish spread without clear rules.
Far from conventional horror, El casalot builds an oppressive atmosphere through language, rhythm and performance. The tension is mixed with dark, absurd humour that heightens the sense of bewilderment and keeps the audience in a constant state of alert.
Performed by Gemma Deusedas and Anna Carreño, the play is an extreme exercise for two actresses who move between the physical and the psychological with great intensity. For 90 minutes, the stage becomes a hallucinatory game in which logic cracks and fear takes unpredictable forms. A theatrical experience designed for those seeking strong emotions and unsettling stories.
