Poncia – A Theatrical Production

After Adela’s death, the house remains trapped in silence. In the mist, Poncia prays, remembers, and speaks with those who are no longer present. Bernarda and her daughters reappear through her words, as the maid reconstructs what happened from her own perspective.

Luis Luque starts from the original interventions of the Lorca character and transforms them into reflections, soliloquies, and conversations with ghosts and shadows. The result moves Poncia from the margins of the story to listen to what she observed, kept silent about, and understood within the house.

With original music by Luis Miguel Cobo, Poncia is performed in Spanish and lasts 75 minutes.
