«What the Foc!» festival

This March, Parc de la Granvia de Barcelona is transformed by the return of What the Foc!, a culinary celebration that promises to delight the most discerning palates. In a sustainable twist, this year the event focuses on the absence of beef, giving prominence to a variety of vegan options. At What the Foc! 2024, barbecue becomes art, with impressive, traditional grills exploring charcoal-grilling techniques from around the world, from the depths of Argentina to the unique flavours of Asia.

The festival hosts 20 chefs, each bringing their unique touch to more than 40 variations of charcoal-grilled dishes. The offerings range from the revered calçotada and carxofada to exotic fish barbecues and creative seasonal vegetable preparations. The experience is enriched by sharing, in the belief that food tastes better in good company.

For those seeking a touch of exclusivity, What the Foc! offers the possibility of reserving a table in the Zona Calçotada. This option gives groups of up to 10 people the chance to enjoy a private calçotada experience without giving up the vibrant festive atmosphere, full of music, live DJs and an unrivalled atmosphere.

In addition, the event collaborates with Ameba, the Barcelona Electronic Music Association, contributing a distinctive musical element committed to sustainability. With its sound system powered by bicycles and solar panels, Ameba guarantees electrifying rhythms while promoting environmental care.
