Series «Following the sun. Uncovering the gaze»

Starting from an idea put forward by Antoni Tàpies in 1967 —that “game of knowing how to look”—, the series proposes diverting attention, shifting focus and questioning what appears clear. Here, sound experimentation is not understood as a genre, but as a tool for broadening perception and deactivating cultural filters that often go unnoticed.

The museum opens up, literally, to other ways of inhabiting it. It becomes more porous, less predictable, ready to welcome practices that do not always fit within the usual boundaries. Everyday life enters the scene, but without being tamed: it is observed, strained and made strange.

Throughout the year, different sessions activate that shift. Blanca Arias (21 March) and Laura Llaneli (18 April) open the programme, followed by Blanca Tolsá and Albert Tarrats (16 May), Raquel G. Ibáñez (19 June) and Anna Irina Russell (19 September). The series continues with rae teitelbaum (17 October), Mireia Molina Costa (21 November) and Ariadna Guiteras (12 December).
