19th Dance Week in Gràcia
From 24 to 30 April, Gràcia moves differently. The 19th Dance Week transforms streets, squares and facilities into a large shared space where the body is the common language. More than a hundred free activities—among performances, workshops and open classes—invite participation regardless of age or experience.
About this event
The programme is built around the collective. There are proposals designed for older people, for groups with functional diversity or for those who find in movement a form of expression beyond the verbal. Here, dance appears as a tool for meeting, capable of connecting generations and different realities to the same rhythm.
On 29 April, coinciding with International Dance Day, the neighbourhood becomes the main stage. The Vila and Sol squares host a major joint action: a flashmob bringing together more than seven hundred people from schools, special education centres, community spaces and residents who choose to join in.
Dance Week in Gràcia is an invitation to occupy public space through movement, to look at the neighbourhood with different eyes and to understand that dancing can also be a way of living together.
