14th Barcelona Italian Film Showcase (MCIB)

This new edition brings together ten previously unreleased feature films from 2025, selected after appearing at international festivals, and seven short films presented at the Venice Film Festival’s Settimana della Critica. The event also pays tribute to an icon of Italian popular culture: Fantozzi, with two classics to be screened on the 50th anniversary of the celebrated accountant. Anna Mazzamauro, the unforgettable female lead of the saga, will attend.

MCIB will also be a meeting point for filmmakers and talent from both sides of the Mediterranean. Guests include Sergi López, nominated for the European Film Awards for Sirat; actress Aurora Quattrocchi; young performer Filippo Scotti, who will present Le città di pianura; and leading directors Leonardo Di Costanzo, Laura Samani, Carolina Cavalli and Riccardo Milani, who will open the showcase for the second consecutive year with La vita va così.

All screenings are free of charge — with limited capacity — and tickets can be collected on the day of each screening.
