About this event
Iranian cinema, recognised for its marked auteur approach, stands out in the global film landscape for its exceptional narrative proposals and screenplays. Casa Asia presents an exquisite selection of five films, made between 2020 and 2022 by talented filmmakers of the 1970s and 1980s generations.
From 15 February to 23 March, Cinemes Girona will become the perfect setting to immerse yourself in Iran’s culture and creativity through the big screen. This exhibition is not only an opportunity to enjoy the latest Iranian film productions, but also to explore the diversity of approaches and styles that characterise the country’s cinema. From intense dramas to moving comedies, the selection spans a wide spectrum of genres reflecting the richness and complexity of Iranian society.
