Film series «Gandules»

In this edition, the programme curated by film critic Desirée de Fez offers a reflection on beauty and its many contradictions through a selection of films ranging across horror, science fiction, fantasy cinema and documentary.

Far from idealised visions, the series explores issues such as obsession with perfection, aesthetic pressure, the cult of youth and the relationship between appearance, power and identity. Each screening engages in dialogue with the exhibition The Cult of Beauty and offers a critical view of the models of beauty that have shaped contemporary culture.
