FIRE!! Barcelona International LGTBIQ+ Film Showcase

The programme brings together feature films, documentaries, shorts, performances, discussions and stage proposals that span very different geographies and sensibilities. Intimate stories, political narratives, Arab and Persian queer cinema, sessions dedicated to new voices and films exploring identity, desire, family or dissidence coexist in a festival that has never understood cinema as mere entertainment.

FIRE!! also maintains a strong connection with contemporary cultural and social debate. There will be meetings with directors, actors and programmers, workshops and round tables that extend the films beyond the screen. All of this is accompanied by a programme that supports both new perspectives and authors already established in international queer cinema.

More than a film showcase, FIRE!! functions as a meeting space where stories find community. A place where watching cinema also means recognising oneself, questioning oneself and celebrating other ways of living and telling the world.
