31st edition of Barcelona’s Festival Internacional de Carilló
This year, Barcelona hosts the 31st edition of the Festival Internacional de Carilló at the emblematic Palau de la Generalitat. This festival, unique in southern Europe, offers an exclusive opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of the carillon, with performances by renowned international carillonneurs. The concerts are free, but prior registration is required.
About this event
The programme begins with French carillonneur Stefano Colletti, who will bring a repertoire of French and Italian music, followed by Isaac Wong from Australia, who will explore everything from baroque to samba. Abel Chaves from Portugal will perform fado and pop melodies, while Dina Verheyden from Belgium and Richard de Waardt from the Netherlands will demonstrate their skills on an impressive ‘carillón duplicat’.
The event will culminate in a special concert combining carillon and trumpet, performed by Anna Maria Reverté and Sergi Marquilles, promising a magical evening under the motto ‘Una nit de pel·lícula’.
