Barcelona «42» fantasy genres festival

Under the slogan “We face our fears”, the programme will examine how fantastic genres have historically served to confront collective fears and imagine alternatives. One of the focuses of this edition will be artificial intelligence and its influence on creation and the future, alongside a reflection on the relationship between technology and art.

The festival will also devote conventions to Lovecraft and ghost stories, and will remember Richard Matheson on the centenary of his birth. Gaudí will also be present through guided routes linked to the centenary of his death.

Talks, workshops, lectures, signings, exhibitions and tours will bring together established figures and new voices in national and international fantasy literature for five days.
