«elPetit» International Festival of Arts for Early Childhood
From 15 to 30 November 2025, elPetit returns as a silent current travelling through 11 cities and connecting more than 30 spaces in one gesture: opening the artistic world to those who have just arrived in it. In its 21st edition, the festival reaffirms its vocation to create experiences that are not explained but lived. That do not ask for understanding, but presence. That turn children aged 0 to 5 and their families into accomplices in a sensory universe that beats to their rhythm.
About this event
This year, the motto «¿Tejemos?» works as both a statement and an invitation. To weave community in a time that pushes us towards haste. To weave bonds where there was once distance. To weave common spaces among artists, families and little ones beginning to build their own language about the world. elPetit expands its network and incorporates two venues that mark a before and after — Teatre Lliure de Montjuïc and Centre Penitenciari de Ponent — reminding us that art, when sincere, always finds ways in.
The programme brings together national and international proposals that favour delicacy: immersive experiences, music that breathes with the audience, bodies that tell stories without uttering a word, installations that invite us to touch, listen and look in another way. Everything is designed to accompany first discoveries with respect, curiosity and wonder.
At the same time, from 20 to 23 November, the 10th International Meeting of Arts for Early Childhood will bring together professionals from different fields to reflect on the role of art in those early years that leave a permanent mark.
elPetit is not only a festival: it is a shared territory where art acts as a thread joining generations, perspectives and realities. A reminder that first steps also deserve extraordinary stages. Weaving together, after all, is another way of growing.
