26th Concurso Internacional de Rosas Nuevas
From 8 to 10 May 2026, Cervantes Park dresses up to host the 26th edition of the Concurso Internacional de Rosas Nuevas, an event that celebrates excellence in the art of creating new rose varieties. Coinciding with the first major bloom of the year, this competition brings together breeders and specialists from 13 countries, consolidating Barcelona as a global benchmark in ornamental horticulture.
About this event
For three days, the rose garden becomes a space for admiration, knowledge and participation. An international jury of 70 experts and a committee of perfumers will assess the specimens according to their vigour, fragrance, resilience and beauty.
The programme includes guided tours, family workshops, shows, concerts, lectures and floral and gastronomic demonstrations, in a natural setting designed for all audiences. Sunday’s programme will close with the announcement of the award-winning roses and festive activities for the whole family.
The Concurso de Rosas Nuevas is not just a competition: it is a tribute to creativity, diversity and a passion for nature.
