‘La meva Barcelona’ series of talks and exhibitions

Throughout the series, topics such as the consequences of gentrification and tourism on local communities, the loss of spaces of collective memory and how these changes reshape urban identity will be addressed. There will be reflection on the emotional impact experienced by Barcelona residents as they see their neighbourhoods transformed, often to the detriment of long-standing residents, and on how this affects their sense of belonging, their social networks and community cohesion.

‘The human city in Barcelona: against “urbanalisation”’: A dialogue on how to preserve human character in the face of growing urbanisation. It will take place on 28 January at 19:00.

‘Joan Colom, remote traveller to an invisible city’: An exploration of Barcelona's less-seen corners through the lens of the famous photographer. Scheduled for 11 February at 19:00.

‘The challenge of public space in the city of Barcelona: reality or fiction?’: A debate on the struggle for inclusive and accessible public spaces on 25 February at 19:00.
