Concert «El lago de los cisnes» and «El cascanueces», with Vicent & ADDA Sinfónica Alicante
Two titles that form part of the collective memory and continue to move audiences generation after generation come together in this Christmas concert devoted to Tchaikovsky. Under Josep Vicent’s baton, ADDA Sinfónica Alicante offers a journey through some of the Russian composer’s most recognisable soundscapes, in an evening designed to let the power of music carry you away.

Swan Lake opens the programme with its unmistakable blend of lyricism, drama and romanticism. The love story marked by fate finds in Tchaikovsky’s score an intensity that transcends the stage and turns each passage into a profound emotional experience. It was the first of his great ballets and remains one of the most influential in history.
The second half of the concert enters the world of The Nutcracker, a work linked to the Christmas imagination that speaks of childhood, dreams and the blurred boundary between reality and fantasy. Its melodies evoke nostalgia, wonder and tenderness, creating a warm, evocative atmosphere.
As a complement, Suite No. 2 from Khachaturian’s ballet Spartacus adds a vigorous, epic contrast, closing a night in which music becomes story, emotion and shared celebration.
