Kitty, Daisy & Lewis will bring their unique take on rock ’n’ roll to La (2) de Apolo on Friday 18 September. The Durham siblings have built their sound by looking to the popular music of the mid-20th century, but without simply reproducing it.
About this event
Their repertoire moves naturally between rock ’n’ roll, swing, blues, R&B, country and jazz. This variety finds its best expression on stage, where the instruments and direct performance are at the heart of what they do.
Instead of relying on excessive production, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis revive an organic way of playing, based on the interplay between musicians and the physical character of the rhythms that defined several decades of popular music. The concert in Barcelona will offer a chance to get close to those roots from the perspective of a contemporary band that has made blending genres one of its main hallmarks.
