32nd Ciutat Flamenco Festival
From 17 to 26 October, Barcelona once again vibrates to the rhythm of the Ciutat Flamenco Festival, which celebrates its 32nd edition with a programme focused on dance, flamenco dancing and stage experimentation. For ten days, different venues across the city will fill with rhythm, emotion and talent through a new generation of artists who understand flamenco as a living art in constant transformation.
About this event
The festival will begin on 17 October at SAT! with Prender, un acto de combustión, by dancer Antonio Molina, «El Choro», a piece that turns fire into a metaphor for creative impulse and choreographic passion. Throughout the programme, names as prominent as Sara Jiménez, Vanesa Aibar, Rocío Luna, Cristina López, Carlos Cuenca, Julio Ruiz and José Carlos Hanza, among others, will join the line-up.
Ciutat Flamenco has established itself as one of the most important festivals on the national scene, a space where tradition and the avant-garde meet to explore new ways of understanding arte jondo. More than a festival, it is a territory of creation where duende is reinvented in every step, every beat and every breath on stage.
