“#EnDanza” summer contemporary dance series

The contemporary dance series is being presented this summer at the Versus Glories venue in Barcelona, Spain. The second edition of the dance series presents a varied programme made up of five pieces on different themes that promise to captivate audiences in the city of Barcelona. Through dance, it will explore social issues of great importance to society, such as emigration, the reasons for living in war, differences between countries and their consequences.

Juan Mora, with artistic direction by Chase Johnsey, will open the event with “You Charge Me”, a piece covering themes of technological life and the misuse of social media. From 8 to 13 July, La Quebrá with Glòria presents the show “An Easy and Funny Work”. The company Astra presents “Fronterra”, which covers social issues such as emigration. From 25 to 27 July, Sara Strearns' performance “Like Getting Hit by a Bus” will take place, a show interacting with the audience present that addresses the theme of time and space. To close the event, “Un Viatge a París”, presented by the company Expans’Art, runs from the 29th to 3 August. This performance promises to move the viewer as it transports you from your memories to a new adventure.
