Concerts at the Greenhouse
In the lush galleries of the Ciutadella Greenhouse, the Gran Teatre del Liceu raises the curtain on a new classical-music event in one of Barcelona’s most emblematic corners. On 22 and 23 March, this oasis of glass and iron will become the setting for the second edition of chamber concerts, presented by virtuosos from the Liceu Orchestra and Choir.
About this event
Part of the Constel·lacions series, these recitals seek to connect musical heritage with the public in an intimate, deeply moving format. Through performance in this historic space, each composition takes on new life, surrounded by lush vegetation and architecture that dialogues with the past.
The programme unfolds over two days:
On 22 March, at midday, “Discovering Dohnányi” brings us closer to the composer through selected pieces. In the afternoon, “Counterpoint and Devotion” weaves a musical fabric between works by Bach and Pergolesi.
On 23 March, the morning opens with “Invitation to Travel”, a journey through melodies that explore distant sonic horizons. As evening falls, “Nocturnal Reflections” envelops the audience in a contemplative, introspective atmosphere.
With every note played, the concerts at the Greenhouse promise not only music, but a transformative experience, bringing together art, history and nature in a memorable event.
