In this work, Gibert presents us with four intense tracks which, although brief in duration, distil a profound sense of renewal and artistic freedom. After shedding the restrictions that limited her creativity, Carly returns to her roots in Cambrils, but this time with a perspective enriched by her international experience.
The video for «JENNIFER LAWRENCE», the song that opens the EP, is a powerful symbol of this new stage: Carly appears confined in a small fishbowl, struggling to move freely, a visual metaphor for her previous contractual and personal limitations. Now free of those ties, her music takes on a new dimension, offering a sound that can rival international figures such as Doja Cat and Amaarae.
On the coming 21 March, Carly Gibert will bring these songs and her renewed spirit to Barcelona, where she will perform at LAUT. This concert will not only mark a milestone in her career, but will also be a celebration of her authenticity and evolution. Attendees will be able to experience first-hand the evocative power of her music and Carly’s ability to transform her life experiences into vibrant, resonant pop art.
