«Be My Guest» Music Festival
This September, Apolo de Barcelona dresses up to commemorate Liveurope's 10th anniversary with a very special edition of Be My Guest. On the 12th and 13th, the festival rolls out its sonic carpet, focusing on the diversity of pop, folk and electronic music through a select group of eight musical acts, both emerging and established.
About this event
With a renewed focus on local talent, this edition of Be My Guest presents a line-up that combines the experience of artists such as Los Sara Fontán, Maria Jaume and Marta Knight with the freshness of projects such as Electro Ma Non Troppo, C.O.U. and Yaunest. They are joined by two international gems: the Irish group Cushla and Slovakia's Dominik Prok, each bringing a fragment of their musical world to Barcelona.
In addition, the festival is enriched by a cultural discussion entitled “Folklore has a match with new genres”, led by the influential producer and composer Raül Refree. This talk, held before the concerts on the 12th, will explore how contemporary genres draw on and reinterpret elements of folklore, offering a window onto musical innovation. This session in English is free for those attending the festival, and promises to be a bridge of knowledge and exploration between the past and current trends.
