16th Pantalla Barcelona Districte Cultural
Summer lights up Barcelona's screens again with a proposal that brings cinema to squares, gardens and public spaces throughout the city. The 16th edition of Pantalla BDC turns thirteen open-air venues into screening rooms where stories are shared under the stars and just a few steps from home.

From 25 June to 23 July, the Barcelona Districte Cultural cinema circuit will offer 45 free screenings across the ten districts. The programme brings together nine recent films that explore issues as universal as memory, identity, family ties, precarity and the search for new opportunities. Titles such as La furgo, Molt lluny, Los Tortuga, Norberta and Wolfgang form part of a selection reflecting some of the most interesting perspectives in contemporary cinema produced in our area.
One of the cycle's great attractions is its ability to turn emblematic places in Barcelona into spaces for cultural gathering. From Plaça de Sant Felip Neri to Jardins de la Vil·la Florida or Parc de l’Aqüeducte, each screening takes on a unique atmosphere shaped by its setting.
The experience is completed by a musical proposal created by DJ Dani Kongo, who has put together playlists inspired by each film to accompany the festival beyond the screen. Pantalla BDC thus reaffirms a simple idea: that the best cinema can also be enjoyed outdoors, as a community and as part of neighbourhood everyday life.
