Film series “Lucrecia Martel: Sabotage the Gaze”

The journey begins with the celebrated Salta Trilogy —La ciénaga, La niña santa and La mujer rubia—, three films that redefined the cinematic language of the early 21st century. The programme continues with Zama, her personal adaptation of Antonio Di Benedetto’s novel, and culminates with Nuestra tierra, an unprecedented reflection in cinemas on colonial representation and its narratives.

Some screenings will include special introductions by voices connected with thought and audiovisual creation, such as filmmaker Carolina Astudillo and writer and researcher Lucrecia Masson Córdoba, enriching the dialogue between the films and the audience.

More than a retrospective, this series proposes entering a way of making cinema that questions certainties, alters perception and turns every shot into an invitation to look differently.
